No to the War

The spine you see in the photo belongs to a sixty-year-old man who was a soldier during the war between Iran and Iraq . During the years 1987 to 1990 , he fought on the front lines of the war in defense of his homeland , Iran . Damaged many times by the blast wave , hospitalized twice due to the war shrapnel injury , and affected by chemical weapons , he is a collection of all kinds of war injuries , and yet he is thankful that he was not captured in the war and did not experience captivity . He , just like thousands of Iranian patriots , fought in defense of his country , went to the point of death and suffered the damage caused by his own difficult choice .  And this photo shows just one of his dozens of problems .  Maybe this complication is not caused by the injuries during the war ( although it seems unlikely ) , but I think this graphy is a sign : as if the hand of nature’s artist intends to depict the disaster of war for us , not just an immediate disaster , but a long-term disaster that becomes more painful and heartbreaking as time goes by . Despite all these problems , this man neither asked for help nor expected sympathy . He is not in a good living condition and yet he smiles and bears his pains as if he is the healthiest and happiest person on earth . Thousands of people like this man in the Middle East , wake up with the pain and wounds of war , hoping that their children will not face another war .  And what they see in the news and virtual networks is a nightmare in waking : politicians continue with warmongering policies . So , ominous shadow of war over the Middle East is getting darker and darker … No to the War , No to the War , No to the War …
